Weekly Notices

This is where you can keep up to date with groups, events and service times across the Benefice. Services times are as regular as possible but can be subject to change so it’s worth checking in to see what’s on and when. Notices for extra services around Christmas and Easter may also be posted here.

If you are unsure about whether something is on or not then contact one of the team or the contact given in the notice.

Candlemas

  1. Palm Crosses: Palm Crosses need to be returned , so they can be burnt for Ash Wednesday. Please return by Sunday 15th February.
  2. St Michael’s Cleaning Rota: If anyone feels able to help with the cleaning in St. Michael’s, we would be very grateful if you would join us on the cleaning rota as we are now a very diminished group!  Details from Carole Howes, Carolyn McAllister, Sarah Sell or Stuart Broomhead.
  3. Unused Christmas Gifts: If anyone has received any gifts that they are unable to use, would you consider donating them to be used for future bazaars. If so please hand to Brenda B
  4. Indian Meal at Zaal’s (Lampits Hill): 3rd February 2026, 6.30pm. Pay for your own food drink and make a donation towards our commitment to funding the self-help projects in Tamil Nadu through Building Better Futures International. Something to add to your new calendar and to look forward to and chase away those post Christmas blues… Please let me know by phone (07806796082) or email (pamela.draycott@gmail.com) if you want to join in this social time together.  
  5. Lent Course: This year’s course, Being With, will start on Monday 9th February, 7pm-9pm at Rev’d Lauren’s house.
  6. Ash Wednesday: 18th February. Mass at 10am at St Michael’s and 7.30pm at St Mary’s.
  7. Stations of the Cross: 7pm at St Mary’s on the following Fridays: 20th February, 6th March, 13th March and 27th March.
